Olga Gruzhinskaya

Olga graduated from Kyiv National Economic University and has worked for IMEPOWER and its predecessor companies since 1996. She specializes on economic and financial aspects of the operations of energy companies and the Wholesale Electricity Market, due diligence and valuation of power distribution and generating companies, project structuring, financial modeling, taxation, tariff formation, financial restructuring as well as posses good expertise in coal and gas industries.

Olga has significant experience of coordinating due diligence and asset valuation tasks for major international investors, including valuation of Varna TPP in Bulgaria, Moldova TPP in Trans-Dniester Republic, majority Ukrainian power distribution companies (Oblenergos). She worked a lot on preparing market studies and forecasts of energy sector development for such clients as CEZ, EDF, ENEL, Sumitomo, Union Fenosa, World Bank.

Olga performed analysis and prepared financial models for major investment projects in Ukraine’s energy sector, including construction of Dniester Hydro Pumped Storage Plant, construction of Kahovka Hydro Power Plant-2, construction of back-to-back stations between the Ukrainian energy system and ENTSO-E, recovery of 750 kV transmission line to Isaccea substation, etc. She also greatly contributed to identifying risks associated with such projects and developing the options for their mitigation.

Olga has great track record in advising Ukrainian power generation and distribution companies (Energoatom, Donbassenergo, Ukrhydroenergo, Centrenergo, Kyivoblenergo, Kharkiv CHP-5, Kherson CHP and others), Naftogas of Ukraine, coal enterprises on the issues related to financial recovery, debt restructuring, corporate development and reorganization, corporatization, tariff setting, implementation of investment projects, financial management and reporting.
